One star minus for smell inside. Too much smells food and cigarettes - when someone smokes outside. The restaurant is old, in interesting design, wall papers in toilet (what I think is cute). Waiter was friendly and speaking English. We waited for our hot dish around 20 min which was normal. Restaurant was full. Dish were tasty (for me was too much big portion), I would give good 4 from 5. Not bad wine (we had red south African).

(nov 2018) Nice hotel at a great location. Near the woods if you like hiking or MTB, a few cities nearby for some shopping and nice roads for cyclists. Large clean room, basic but clean bathroom and at night the room can be darkened by the means of rolling shutters. Complete breakfast with a good variety of bread, meat, eggs ..... As an extra you get some "vitamins" every morning We had half board and at evening we had the choice between 3 dishes. If there was something that we didn't like it was no problem to change a part of a dish. Very friendly and helpful staff. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (aug 2021) Our second stay in this hotel, this time post Covid. Although we didn't get the type of room we we're expecting (we asked for a room with separate bedroom for our son but got one with separate bedroom for us) and there was a problem with the shower (which was fixed asap) we had a good holiday. Everyone at the hotel did their best to make it a great stay and the hotel was a little understaffed at some moments. Every business has problems finding staff in these times and when you take this in account the hotel and staff keeps getting 5 stars. (But we did miss the "vitamins" at breakfast ;) )

We spent a long weekend in this hotel and we were very satisfied.||The rooms are large and well appointed. The restaurant offers very typically food of the region which is very tasty. When the weather is good you have the possibility to enjoy a drink or something outside.A nice place for calm and recreative days.

Great hotel with a true and authentic feel. It sits in the middle of a small and quiet village and has great views. Breakfast is fresh and tasteful. The staff is very friendly and speaks English.

Lovely and well appointed German Landstil hotel. Service was great, very accommodating and friendly. Older groups and families with kids and babies welcomed here. Rooms are are of the highest standard, beds very comfortable. Lunch in the Bierstube, dinner in the restaurant and breakfast buffet exceeded our expectations. Recommend most highly!

We stayed here for several nights and it was a nice place to stay. Typical European hotel - not elegant, but not basic. The rooms were nice and were very clean. It is a good choice of hotels, especially if you are doing something at the Warstein Brewery.
